Key West in July - Full Story coming

Jennings Supermoto - 1st Pro Race (and possibly last)

Jennings Florida - the site of what I had hoped to be my first pro class victory....hoped being the operative word:-)

The track is awesome...2 miles in the woods. We thought this sign coming onto pit row was a joke...however we quickly learned that gators are not just hanging out in the south part of Florida....and that they do like to warm themselves on the track when it's cold outside.

Two miles winding through the woods on a bike only track....

Every race day starts with plenty of carbs...which has never been my weak suit.

I brought with me one the most highly sought after pro level team managers/pit crew/gittir done girls....my wife:-) She was up for the challenge.

With sponsorships like this, my budget for this event was LARGE...in monopoly money terms.

Getting the bike dialed was easy; keeping it that way with 100 degree temps and 90%+ humidity was brutal.

Thanks to the two 'real pros' taking eachother out in turn one I was able to slide inside and snag 2nd place during the heat race.

There were two awesome dirt sections with great jumps...this is the small section.

And this was the larger section.....

Unfortunately....there is no podium picture. Heat, old age and a stalling the bike in the dirt section kept me out of contention. But I will have my day!
